What´s the difference between 3 Kolofogo models?, that´s the question we answer in this brief article.

Trailers are fantastic tools for transforming our existing bikes into something completely new, transcending what we thought we can do with them. They can be used to carry ski equipment or kayaks. To haul water for trips through deserts. Or to ferry our children on family adventures.

Not only do child trailers keep precious cargo protected from the elements if the weather turns sour or the sun is especially strong, they allow napping too. Plus, family trips often require extra gear. A football, snorkel, frisbee, and Legos are all things we’ve brought with us to make off-bike activities more fun. Trailers open up space for a big family-sized tent and make packing much easier; there’s enough going on during a family trip that anything that helps streamline the start and end to the day is welcome.

Our main aim at KoloFogo was to come up with a single wheel trailers for kids and their parents which would satisfy following claims:

• You can fold/unfold them – even to a small trunk of a small car
• You can use them as a stroller as well – it has telescopic handgrip and a disc brake
• They´re equipped with comfortable upholstery – for example full side window venting/side windows you can unstrap

Kolofogo trailers are hitched to the seatpost which impact the handling of your bike less than trailers that mount to dropouts. And it also has a much tighter turning circle, which is useful for day to day use.

Basically, we do offer 3 models – 2 of them are simpler, but you can always upgrade them (if you decide to do so). Our trailers are kind of jigsaw.

TAHOE Lightweight trailer which you can easily fold and transport

Tahoe is a single wheel trailer with shock suspension, a singletrailer with kickstand, ready to explore the countryside and take in rough trails in its stride. The classic version standardly comes with 20 inch wheel. Version Tahoe Air 24 is equipped with bigger 24 inch wheel – for even better and smoother rides.

The joy of riding Tahoe exponentiates fact that you don’t tow a cart behind you, but a single wheeled carrier which perfectly sits on the trail. It’s a pure trailer, but you can anytime upgrade it to the higher versions, Dusky or Trayecto.

What you get if you order Tahoe:

• A single wheel trailer with kickstand, the tow bar and one adapter for the seatpost
• Fender (protection against mud, dust and little stones)
• The upholstery has windows venting in front and has just one pocket (at the back)

What you could anytime buy/accessorize:

• Foldaway axle with two small (12inch) wheels, brake, mudguard, 14inch wheels for inline skating and the balance/learning bike
• Headrest, small pocket for drinks, side cushion and the infant sling for toddlers

DUSKY 2-in-1 Stroller & Bicycle Trailer

Dusky is a classic, 2-in-1 stroller and single wheel bicycle trailer with disc brake. Unique to singletrailers around the world, the Dusky quickly converts into a 3-wheeled stroller. Instead of a kickstand, dual wheels fold down and allow for an ultra-stable and comfortable stroller for walking off paved surfaces.

Moreover, design of the axle makes it possible to easily fasten the two wheels to the upper part of the frame when riding it behind the bike so you can take them with wherever you go.

What you get if you order Dusky:

• 2-in-1 stroller and bicycle trailer, brake, the tow bar and one adapter for the seatpost
• The upholstery has window venting in front, has two pockets – at the back and under the seat, and the fender (protection against mud, dust and little stones)

TRAYECTO Top Version with all the Extras

Like Dusky, the Trayecto quickly converts into a 3-wheeled stroller. Instead of a kickstand, dual wheels fold down and allow for an ultra-stable and comfortable stroller for walking off paved surfaces.

Trayecto is the only version with full side window venting (side windows you can unstrap). It is also equipped with headrest, small pocket for drinks and with the mudguard. Disc brake SRAM BB5 increases braking control in steep terrain.
